Tijdens deze CTL short leer je hoe je jouw onderwijs actiever en meer blended maakt, met kleine aanpassingen die meteen effect hebben op jou én je studenten.

De VU maakt de overstap naar activerend blended onderwijs. Welke kleine veranderingen kun jij aanbrengen in je onderwijs om je cursus activerender en blended te maken? Tijdens deze workshop worden vijf tips gedeeld. Elk van deze tips is vrij eenvoudig te implementeren en is relevant voor de meeste cursussen. Docenten die deze tips al geïmplementeerd hebben, zeggen dat ze erg blij zijn met de resultaten, net als hun studenten!

Tijdens deze CTL short leer je de kern van GenAI en AI‑geletterdheid, zodat je studenten kunt begeleiden in het verantwoord en effectief gebruik van AI. 

In deze workshop maak je als docent kennis met de basisbegrippen van GenAI en het concept AI-geletterdheid. We verkennen wat studenten moeten weten en kunnen om AI verantwoord en effectief te gebruiken in hun studie. Aan het einde van de sessie:

1. Kan je kernbegrippen rond AI beschrijven en onderscheiden.

In deze workshop verken je wat AI-geletterdheid betekent voor je eigen rol in jouw onderwijspraktijk.

Je maakt kennis met relevante frameworks en inzichten. Dit vertaal je vervolgens naar je eigen onderwijspraktijk. Daarnaast reflecteer je op je eigen positie en kunnen t.o.v. GenAI en bepalen we vervolgstappen voor je verdere ontwikkelmogelijkheden. Aan het einde van de sessie:

Stimuleren van zelfverantwoordelijk én zelfregulerend studeren (1 oktober)
In deze sessie krijg je handvatten om studenten te stimuleren de regie te nemen over hun eigen studiesucces.

Studenten zijn uiteindelijk zelf verantwoordelijk voor hun leerproces en studiesucces, maar in de praktijk blijven docenten vaak een belangrijke sturende rol spelen. Zelfs met goed doordacht onderwijs is succes niet vanzelfsprekend: studenten maken zelf keuzes in hoe en wanneer zij leren. In deze sessie verkennen we inzichten uit de literatuur over zelfverantwoordelijk leren, met aandacht voor verantwoordelijkheid, eigenaarschap, regie en agentic learning. Wat betekent het eigenlijk om GenAI te gebruiken in een tijd waarin duurzaamheid steeds belangrijker wordt? In deze sessie ontdek je welke milieukosten schuilgaan achter GenAI én hoe je bewuste keuzes kunt maken in het gebruik ervan. Je leert kritisch afwegen wanneer GenAI waarde toevoegt en wanneer je beter voor alternatieven kiest. Aan het einde van de sessie:

Tijdens deze CTL short leer je verschillende perspectieven op GenAI te verkennen en daaruit een eigen, onderbouwd maatschappelijk standpunt te vormen.

Hoe kijken wij eigenlijk naar GenAI: als kans, als risico, of iets daartussenin? In deze sessie ga je in gesprek over verschillende perspectieven en ontdek je welke aannames daaronder liggen. Je ontwikkelt een eigen en onderbouwd standpunt over de rol van GenAI in de samenleving en wat dit betekent voor onderwijs en toekomstige professionals. Aan het einde van de sessie:

In this CTL short you explore simple, high‑impact tweaks that immediately boost student engagement and strengthen the blended design of your teaching.

VU Amsterdam is making the transition to active blended learning. What small changes can you make in your teaching to make your course more active and blended? During this workshop, five tips will be shared. Each of these tips is fairly easy to implement and is relevant to most courses. Teachers who have already implemented these tips say they are very pleased with the results, as are their students!

Encouraging self-directed and self-regulated learning (1 October)
In this session, you will gain practical tools to encourage students to take ownership of their own academic success.

Students are ultimately responsible for their own learning process and academic success, but in practice teachers often continue to play an important guiding role. Even with well-designed education, success is not guaranteed: students make their own choices regarding how and when they learn. In this session, we will explore insights from the literature on self-directed learning, focusing on responsibility, ownership, agency, and agentic learning.
